Since 2014, the studio has been committed to collaborate with our clients to resolve urban and building design challenges along with those of modern day construction. The studio is dedicated to the design and construction of sustainable and energy efficient buildings by using program driven solutions and innovative design as its main tools.

 

Marcela Villarroel Arestizábal.

Marcela Villarroel is a founding partner at Studio MET +. With 18 years of experience in the field of architecture, design and urban planning, Marcela’s work experience includes projects in North and South America, Asia and the Caribbean. Project types include multi- family residential, corporate commercial and mixed use towers, higher education, and hospitality. Marcela has been a key member of many award winning projects.
Upon completing her education in Santiago, Chile, Marcela won a scholarship and joined the firm of Kohn Pedersen Fox Associates in New York. During her five years at KPF, Marcela worked as a junior designer on several international projects.
Marcela then became a member of Ennead Architects where during a period of eight years she held important roles on several US and Latin American Projects. Projects include the Cape Horn Research Center in Puerto Williams, Chile in which Marcela is still involved.
Marcela has served as professor at the Universidad De Las Americas and is currently a professor at the Universidad Mayor and Universidad Central de Chile.
She is a registered architect in Chile and an AIA International Associate. Marcela is fluent in English, Spanish, and has a basic knowledge of Portuguese.

 

Ernesto Trindade Fasce.

Ernesto Trindade is a founding Partner at Studio Met+. With over 25 years of experience as a project architect and project designer working for firms both in Europe and in the United States, Ernesto has been closely involved with a wide range of building types throughout Asia, Europe and North America. Ernesto has expertise in all aspects of the architectural process, from conceptual design through construction.
Upon completing his education in New York and Milan, Mr. Trindade spent several years in Berlin as project designer working on various project types, from mixed use complexes, Multifamily Residential to Master-Planning.

He returned to New York where he worked on many notable, award winning projects including Multifamily Residential, Academic, Health Care and Corporate Commercial. On the academic side, Ernesto served as adjunct professor at the New York School of Interior Design (NYSID) MFA program where he taught a sustainable design studio and also served as thesis mentor for several years. He is currently a professor at the Universidad Mayor School of Architecture. Ernesto is a registered architect in the state of New York, a member of the American Institute of Architects and a LEED accredited professional. He is fluent in English, Spanish, and Italian and has a basic knowledge of German.
